Editorial Policy

This policy covers how content on ICOListingOnline.com is produced, checked, corrected and kept current. It applies to listings, guides, glossary entries and anything else we publish under our own name.
Who writes what you read
Listings and editorial guides are written and reviewed by our own team. Sponsored articles are written by the advertiser or, if they ask, by us to their brief — either way they are labelled as sponsored and sit outside the editorial process described here.
We do not accept payment to write, alter or soften an editorial piece, and contributors are not paid by the projects they cover.
Sourcing standards
A claim about a project should be traceable to something a reader can check: the project's own site or documentation, an on-chain record, a named audit report, or a primary source such as a regulator or exchange announcement.
Where a figure comes from the project rather than from independent verification, the listing presents it as the project's claim rather than as established fact.
We do not build listings from press releases alone, and we do not treat a screenshot, a Telegram message or an anonymous tip as sufficient on its own.
What we do with gaps
If a project has not published its audit, supply figures, team details or unlock schedule, the corresponding field is left empty. It is never filled with a plausible estimate.
An empty field on a listing means we could not verify it, not that the answer is zero or unknown to the project.
Use of automated tools
We use software to monitor listing changes, watch on-chain activity and draft routine summaries. Anything published is read and approved by a person, and a human is accountable for it.
We do not publish machine-generated commentary about a project's prospects, and we do not generate fake reviews, testimonials or community activity.
Corrections
Tell us about an error and we will check it. If we got it wrong we fix it, and where the change is substantive — a score, a date, a claim about how a sale works — we note that the page was updated and when.
We do not quietly delete a mistake to make it disappear. Corrections go to support@icolistingonline.com and reports about a live listing are handled first.
Right of reply
A project that believes its listing is unfair or inaccurate can write to us with specifics and evidence. We will review it and, where warranted, amend the listing.
We will not remove accurate information because a project would prefer it were not published, and we do not accept payment to take down criticism.
Separation from commercial
The people who set editorial scores are not the people who negotiate advertising. Advertisers see their placement before it runs; they do not see or approve editorial coverage of themselves.
