Conflict of Interest Policy
Last updated August 2026
People who write about crypto usually own some. Pretending otherwise would be less honest than setting out the rules we hold ourselves to.
Personal holdings
Team members may hold cryptocurrency, including major assets, for their own account. Nobody who contributes to a rating may hold a position in a token they are reviewing at the time of that review.
Where a contributor holds a relevant position and the piece cannot reasonably be reassigned, the holding is disclosed on the page.
Recusal
A contributor with a financial interest, an advisory role, or a personal relationship with a project or its team steps away from decisions about it. Someone without that connection takes over.
This applies to scoring, to the decision to list or reject, and to any decision to remove a listing.
Non-public information
Submissions reach us before they are published, and they sometimes contain launch dates, pricing and contract details that are not yet public.
Trading on that information, or passing it to anyone who might, is prohibited. Submission material is treated as confidential until the project publishes it or the listing goes live.
Gifts, tokens and allocations
We do not accept tokens, allocations, whitelist spots or equity in exchange for coverage, a listing or a score. Advertising is paid for in cash against an invoice.
Offers of token payment for favourable treatment are declined, and repeated attempts are grounds for refusing the listing.
Ownership and related parties
If this site, its owners or its staff ever hold a material interest in a listed project, that relationship will be disclosed prominently on the listing itself rather than only here.
